As we all know, these are very difficult and strange times we are living in - especially in New Orleans. With all the recent tragedy and hardships that have hit our beautiful city, we made the difficult decision along with HGTV to postpone the premiere of “Selling the Big Easy” to a later date in 2020.

We will be sure to share any new information as we receive it, but we are still looking forward to watching the show with all of you later this year. Be sure to follow @brittanyinthebigeasy for further updates.

- Brittany Picolo-Ramos

Being a realtor isn't just Brittany's job, it's her CALLING. As a native New Orleanian, she knows the city and the uniqueness of its neighborhoods well.

Brittany was born to work with people and loves every minute of it. She spent years working in restaurants and was consistently one of the nation's top sales people at Sprint. After losing money on a home she and her husband purchased from a family member, she entered real estate in an effort to ensure that others never made the same mistake she did

Brittany has a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans with minor in business management. She started in real estate in 2013 and because of her passion to help people, quickly began to outsell many of the agents in her office. Soon it was time to spread her wings and Brittany started her own team in 2015. Her team was consistently the top one or two teams in an office of over 500 agents.

Brittany and her husband Marco took their passion for helping people and real estate a step further in  October of 2019. Marco started Godwyn & Stone Brokerage and Brittany leads their team of agents, many of whom have been with her since 2015.

Brittany's enthusiasm is evident in every listing and relationship. She loves life, loves helping people and feels lucky to have a calling that combines the two.

The series follows Brittany and her team as they help families find the house of their dreams by showing them high-end homes with the right amount of history and charm. She also helps clients stage and sell their homes for top dollar in the ciy's vibrant real estate market. With an approachable and effervescent style, Brittany effortlessly guides clients through the buying and selling process while touting the enticing amenities that the Crescent City has to offer.

During the season, Brittany wows all types of homebuyers with tours of homes ranging from a classic Victorian in the heart of downtown to a lakefront estate in the sought-after Metairie Qurter and Bourbon Street. Brittany and her team also use their staging know-how to get bland properties ready for a profitable sale by adding fresh furniture, colorful decor and a New Orleans-inspired aesthetic that will attract buyers.

World-Class Real Estate Service

Brittany Picolo-Ramos and her husband, Marco, started working together in real estate in early 2015. Shortly thereafter, they started their own real estate team and hired a few agents and an administrator. After several months, their business steadily increased, and the “Picolo-Ramos Team”, as their team was called, quickly went from a few sales here and there to over $14,000,000 in sales in their first year. Years two and three saw incredible growth as they began to expand their territory and hire more agents and staff.

After consistently being the top 1 or 2 team in their office of over 500 agents, they felt like it was time to consider starting their own brokerage. As fate would have it, Marco was eligible to take the brokerage exam and passed on the first try. It was then that the hard work of starting a brokerage really began, and they knew they needed a name.

While Brittany and Marco were staying with their sister in Nashville during Hurricane Barry, Brittany was exploring the recently decorated home and happened upon an old family crest. The crest read “Godwyn and Stone” and featured leopards and a gryphon. Brittany fell in love with the crest, and, after talking to her sister, found out it belonged to Brittany’s great-great-grandfather, Charles Godwyn Stevens.

Amazingly, Brittany’s family line can be traced back to 1066 - to the time of the Battle of Hastings and William the Conqueror! She and Marco both loved the idea of having a brokerage with a name bigger than themselves that also had a national - and even international – appeal. And thus, Godwyn & Stone Brokerage was born.

Fast forward to today, and Godwyn & Stone Brokerage now employs a team of agents and staff who work throughout the New Orleans Metro area - including the North Shore, Slidell, the Westbank, and beyond. The brokerage currently has 11 agents (and counting) and 3 full-time administrators. With over 522 transactions and over $130,000,000 in sales since 2015 (and counting), they are poised to become one of the preeminent brokerages in New Orleans.
